BBB Says Donors Can Give to Christian Record with Confidence
May 14, 2012 Lincoln, Nebraska … [CRN Staff] A new report by the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance issued today again extends qualification to display the Wise Giving seal to Christian Record Services for the Blind (CRSB). The organization first qualified to use the seal in 2006, just three years after the program was introduced.
The new Wise Giving Report indicates that CRSB continues to meet all 20 of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance Standards for Charity Accountability. The rigorous evaluation process addresses governance, effectiveness, finances, fund raising practices, informational materials, and donor privacy. Standards go beyond what government regulators require. The BBB Wise Giving Alliance is recognized as the most experienced charity evaluator in the United States.
“The use of the BBB Wise Giving seal in our mailings, on our website, and in advertising provides us with a clear and concise sign that we meet the Alliance standards,” said Larry Pitcher, CRSB president. “This demonstrates our commitment to accountability and ethical practices, the values donors look for.”
Among approximately one million public charities in the United States, fewer than half of one percent of them participate in the BBB Wise Giving seal program. Christian Record Services is one of only about 350 charities choosing voluntarily to become licensed users of the BBB Wise Giving seal.
